Everything you wanted to know about young adults and cancer. But were afraid to ask.

Pilot-Test the “Welcome To Our World” Kit and help Teach Doctors!

Planet Cancer Members,

Planet Cancer recently joined LIVESTRONG to combine resources and efforts to reach and serve young adults with cancer. Our first project is pilot testing of a new LIVESTRONG Planet Cancer tool to help get the word about the needs of young adults out to health care professionals.

We need volunteers to pilot test the Planet Cancer: Welcome to Our World Kit. This creative kit is designed to help you talk with health care providers (including doctors, nurses, social workers, and therapists) about the unique issues and experiences young adults have with cancer.

We would like your help to pilot test the new Planet Cancer: Welcome to Our World Kit. The pilot testing will start in April 2010, and you will have several months to use the kit and provide feedback about it. The pilot testing will show us the best way to use the kit in the future to reach and educate health care providers about young adult concerns.

If you want to find out more, please visit www.livestrong.org/PCPilotTestApplication to fill out and submit the online LIVESTRONG Planet Cancer pilot testing application form. We will only be able to accept a limited number of participants during the first phase of the pilot testing. Sign up soon if you would like to help out. You will be notified within one week if you will be part of the pilot testing.
You are welcome to ask questions or provide feedback at any time. Contact Lee Boerner through LIVESTRONG Planet Cancer. You can call toll-free at 866-236-8820 or email research@livestrong.org.

Thanks for your willingness to help young adult cancer survivors!
