Everything you wanted to know about young adults and cancer. But were afraid to ask.

“Scribblings” and “Every Step of the Way” by Matthew Zachary

Matthew Zachary composed his solo piano album, "Scribblings" in the form of scribbles while he was battling brain cancer, not knowing if he would ever play again. After five years in remission, he composed and recorded the sequel, "Every Step of the Way." th_th_music_zacharyHe has distributed thousands to hospital cancer centers, non-profit organizations, pediatric and adult cancer patients and their families. "All of the songs were inspired by my survival and healing experience. Every song has a story," says Matthew.

About Scribblings "One might expect the music to be sad or dar, but it is vibrant and full of passion. With all of the references to how soothing the music is, I expected it to be very quiet...but it overflows with the power and expression of a full-trained pianist who has lived his life with music as his focus and the center of his being.

Kathy Parsons, Senior Editor, Solo Piano Publications

About Every Step of the Way "Every Step replaces Scribblings' cautious fragility with confidence and strength...this album is stronger and more joyful...Zachary displays a great blend of spontaneity and structure while diving into new, more hopeful moods." Josh Kazman, splendidezine.com
