Hospital stays

- Feed the nurses. You get much better service.
- Tell your doctor you don't want your urine measured all day long, every day...most likely you don't need it to be.
- Always get friends to bring you food. Ask the food deliverer not to leave a tray ? the plastic tray smell is deadly, and the hospital food may give you another disease.
- Make a deal with the blood techs. Ask them to come before you go to sleep and in the morning, not a million times in the middle.
- Put a heating pad on the IV site, it makes it feel much better.
- Move in! You feel so much better when you have all your stuff from home with you.
- Take pictures of people who come to visit. It is fun to look back on when you are through with everything.
- Lay down the law. Tell people what you want, because you know your body the best.
- The night nurses are who you really need. Get on their good side so when you cannot sleep they will hook you up!
- OLAY pre-soaped facial cleansing cloths make great sponge baths for when you cannot shower.
